• What is the best time to go?

  September to December is the best time to travel to the Mesr Desert. As we enter September, the weather starts cooling down. If you are excited to explore the stunning desert, autumn is the best time to travel to Iran. As the weather gets cooler, it gets easier to explore beautiful deserts

• Getting there:

  The Mesr Desert is located in the central desert of Iran, (known as the Dasht-e Kavir in Persian). It is 55 kilometers far away from Khoor city. The distance from Tehran to the Mesr Desert is about 700 kilometers and it takes about 9 hours. Nevertheless, getting to Mesr is easy and you need to drive via Naen-Tabas road. After passing Farokhi and Nasrabad villages, there is a signpost that shows the direction of the Mesr Desert. It takes about 50 kilometers to reach the desert.
