The Nesar Ski Resort is located in the mountainous region around Bijar city in Kurdistan province. The ski resort lies on the slopes of Nesar Kuh (Mt Nesar), where it is situated in the south west of Bijar. This tiny family-friendly ski resort is the most exclusive ski resort in the country, due to the steep slopes and the resort location where overlooks the city and it is easily accessible from the city. The Nesar Ski Resort was opened in 2008 in an area of 112 hectares. The length of the track is about 900 meters and its width is 120 meters. The ski enthusiasts can have a grass skiing (grasski) in summer times at the track with an area of two hectares and a length of 330 meters. The second phase of grasski track is under construction with the same extent. The highest point of the resort located at an altitude of 2300m from the sea level, while the lowest point located at an altitude of 2000m from the sea level.

• 1 parking lot with a capacity of 250 cars
• also the ski track have been equipped with 1 chairlift (with the length of 1300m) and 1 ski lift (with the length of 450m) in order to transport skiers and snowboarders.

•  Entrance Fee:

The entrance fee of the Nesar Ski Resort is 70,000 IRR (exclude the rate of lifts). The duration of using the ski resort for one day is from morning to afternoon or 8AM to 5PM. A parking lot is available to use at this complex. In order to use the lifts, you must pay about 250,000 IRR for weekends and holidays, otherwise the rate of lifts is 150,000 IRR.

•  Is there any rental shop to rent the ski gear?

The ski gear rental shop is available at the ski resort. So all the ski equipment can be hired in the resort.

•  Ski instructor:

The Nesar Ski Resort has many professional instructors for teaching how to ski. The rate of teaching for 10 session training is about 1,000,000 IRR. The female instructors are also available at the ski school.

•  Accommodations:

The Bam-e Iran Hotel is a three-star hotel where located on the Imam Ali Boulevard in Bijar. It is the only accommodation in the city.

•  What is the best time to go?

The ski season at the Nesar Ski Resort runs from late December and finishes in March and sometimes this period extent in April. The ski resort opens to the public all the days of the week in the ski time.

•  Getting there?

The distance between Tehran and Nesar Ski Resort is 443 kilometers and It takes about 5 hours and 10 minutes. If you want to reach Bijar by bus, the Tehran West Bus Terminal has services with departures every hour between 7AM to 8PM. The average bus fare for VIP bus is 320,000 IRR.
