48 Hours in Kashan

Kashan is the cradle of traditional civilization and culture in Iran that part of the Isfahan province. It has more than 7,500 years old urbanization and one of the most beautiful cities in Iran.

The tourist attractions and climate of the city, which has two mountain and desert parts, has made it one of the major settlements in Iran.

 

 

 

First day

  •  Fin Garden

The first attraction of Kashan is the Fin Garden in Kashan. Fin garden is a historical Persian garden where Amir Kabir murdered in 1852 in the Qajarid period. The Fin Garden is the oldest extant garden in Iran.

  • Sialk Hills

After the Finn Garden, you can take your taxi to the mysterious Sialk Hills. The Sialk Hills was a sanctuary of ancient people made of clay and pottery. This historic complex was not identified by the year 1310 and was known among the people of Kashan in the cursed city.

  • Lunch

One of the best restaurants to eat lunch is a Javan restaurant. Kebab food is served in this restaurant such as chicken Kebab, kubideh kebab and etc. You can go to a Javan restaurant by taking a taxi from the Sialk Hills.

After eating, you can go to Amery's house to visit. Historical house of Ameri in Kashan is one of the largest traditional houses in Kashan, dating back to the Zand dynasty era.

  • Agha Bozorg Mosque

Agha Bozorg Mosque is very close to the Āmeri House. You can walk from the Āmeri House to the Agha Bozorg Mosque. Aqa Mosque is the only five-story Mosque of the Islamic world that has many attractive decorations.

  • Bazaar of Kashan

After visiting the Agha Bozorg Mosque, you can go to the Bazaar of Kashan. Keep in mind that visiting this place takes 2 to 3 hours. Bazaar of Kashan is an old bazaar in the center of the city of Kashan. It is thought to build in the Seljuq era with renovations during the Safavid era. The bazaar has excellent architecture, especially at its Timche-ye Amin od-Dowleh section, where a grand light well built in the 19th century. In this bazaar, you visit Aminoddole Caravansarai. There is a small shop in caravansarai that you can drink tea or small food such as eggs and so on. You can also see or buy antiques there. In the bazaar, there is a way to the roof of the bazaar that you can go to the roof and take a picture of the sunset.

You can eat your dinner in Manouchehri Traditional Hotel. This hotel has traditional food. Also, you must know that You should know that this hotel has served before 10:00 pm. In Manouchehri Traditional Hotel, beneath high-vaulted ceilings with stucco details and bathed in warm light from the colored glass windows, guests can eat local and regional dishes and delicacies.

  • Taj Historical House

The Taj Historical house is the best option to start visiting Kashan for the second day. Taj Historical House is one of the original houses of Kashan, which is about two centuries old and built during the Qajar period. There is an ethnological Museum in this house that you can visit and learn more about Kashan.

  • Borujerdi House

After visited Taj house you can go to Borujerdi house that is near Taj house. Borujerdi House built in 1857 by architect Ustad Ali Maryam for the bride of Borujerdi, a wealthy merchant.

  • Abbāsi House

You can visit Abbasi house after the Borujerdi house. You should keep in mind that due to the size of this house, the visit will take about 1.30 to 2 hours. It was built during the late 18th century and belonged to a wealthy glass merchant.

It is better to go to a restaurant next to the Abbasids house, which is called the same house, for eating lunch and retrieval energy.

 

  • Puppet Museum House

Then after eat lunch, go to Puppet museum house. Kashan doll and toys museum are an old house belonging to the Qajar era, dating back more than 150 years ago.

 

  • Sultan Amir Ahmad Bathhouse

Sultan Amir Ahmad Bathhouse is one of the attractive places that you should visit it. It was constructed in the 16th century, during the Safavid era; however, the bathhouse was damaged in 1778 as a result of an earthquake and was renovated during the Qajar era.

  • Tabātabāei House

This house is located near Boroujerdi's historic house and next to the Imamzadeh Sultan Amir Ahmad. It was built around 1880, during the reign of the Qajar dynasty, for the affluent Tabātabāei family. After visiting Tabātabāei 's house, you can visit Imamzadeh and visit this Islamic holy place.

  • Seljuq fence

Next, to Imamzadeh there is an alley that reaches the Seljuq fence. There are two high-rise walls in Kashan, which are one of the remains of the famous Seljuq era fence.

 

What is the best time to go?

Kashan bazaar close on Fridays. The tourist attractions of Kashan are open until 7:00 or 8:00 pm, exept the Borujerdi House that is open until 4:00 pm.
