Where is Sialan Mount?

Mout Sialan is the name of a mountain located in the Alborz mountain range, located on the border between Mazandaran and Qazvin. Mount Sialan is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Iran.

Sialan Peak is 4175 meters above sea level.This mountain overlooks the south of the Roodbar Alamut area of Qazvin province and north to the Dohezar valley of Tonekabon in Mazandaran.

The most important peaks of the western Alborz which located on the west side of the Alamkouh area (from the east to the west) are Shah Alborz, the "Sialan", "Khashchal", "Bezabun", "Semamus" and "Dorfak", which are always climbers climbing all over the country. Meanwhile, the peak of Sialan is very charming due to its location between the two vast areas of Alamut and Dahar.

  • Convenient places for camp
     

For this summit, there is a shelter on the north side and one on the south side.

There are also two convenient places for camping and nestling. One "Wenny" sheepfold, located at an altitude of 3300 meters and not reaching 550 meters, reaches the Sialan Cave along the Mazandaran Province and in the beautiful Dohezar valley, and the other one is for camping at 300 meters of crests on the side of Qazvin province at an altitude of 3550 meters and above the shelter.

 

  • What is the best time to go?
     

You can go to Mount Sialan in all seasons. But if you want to climb the summit, summer is the best season.

Climbing in winter is not recommended due to the high temperatures and heavy winds and long paths.

  •  Getting there?
     

In general, the "Sialan" peak can be traversed from the northern, southern, and ridge directions, with the northern and southern trails being traversed from the "Dohezar" and "Heniz" valleys, respectively.

1.     The northern route starting from the village of "Honey Mahala" at an altitude of about 1,300 meters and passing through the plain "Sea Head", "Yadbood" and the "Wenney" sheep go to the cross between the peaks "Sialan" and "Kondigan" and Continuing the path to the west leads to the peak. This way is longer than other routes.

2.     The southern route starts from the village of Heniz at an altitude of 2200 meters, and with a preview to the north and passing through the spring, the snow tunnel reaches the shelter of Sialan, and then reaches the peak of Sialan by climbing the hill.

3.     The ridge route which leads to the summit of the Kondigan or Khrshchal or Sokhkar and leads to the peak of the ridge.
