Shah Abbasi Bridge, also known as Sulaymaniyah Bridge and Shah Abbasi Bridge, is one of the Safavid monuments that constructed on the Karaj River. Furthermore, this bridge has been built on the remains of the Seljuk monument and renovated in the Safavid period. This historic bridge located in the eastern part of Karaj, along with a Seljuq ruined castle of Samsam, and due to its urban landscape, has the ability to become a tourist destination. In the past, this bridge was the link between Tehran and the west of the country, which has widely mentioned in travel and historical documents.

Natural factors like rain, flood and so on have caused severe erosion on the bridge structure during times. As a result of a decrease in strength, it renovated several times. For instance, the bridge features were completely changed in the Safavid era and renewed with the style of the structures of that period.
