His heritage is widely appreciated and shared by Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, the Kurdistan Region, and Tajikistan. Nizami is best known for his five long narrative poems, “Panj Ganj” meaning the five treasures:
Makhzan al-Asrar, Khosrow o Shirin, Layli o Majnun, Eskandar Nameh, Haft Paykar.
