Zahedan railway station is located in Sistan and Baluchestan province, Zahedan City. This station belongs to the southeastern part of Iran's railway. Zahedan railway station is the oldest one in Iran. Its foundation goes back to 1918 when the English constructed a railway line from Mirjaveh ( a city on the border with Pakistan) to Zahedan in order to connect the Indian subcontinent to Turkey, Europe, and Central Asia by train through this international corridor. This line was active but isolated from Iran's railway network by 2009. At this time, Zahedan railway station was connected to Iran's railway network
