In ancient times, each city had 5 main elements, including mosques, bazaar, houses, bathrooms, and water storage. Accordingly, the bath of Soltan Amir-Ahmad was one of the most important factors in the city of Kashan.
It is said that the bath was constructed during the Seljuq time, but part of it (Sarbineh) was created during the Qajar period. The bath is considered to be the most complex of buildings due to the principles to be followed in its construction. This space was built to maintain its internal heat below ground level and inside the soil to save energy. The Soltan Amir Ahmad bath is very eye-catching decorations such as there are Turquoise and golden tiles, seven layers of plaster and unique architecture. This bathroom is known as one of the most prominent baths in Iran due to this decor.
In general, the bathroom consists of two large and small baths. The large bathroom is also composed of several major sections.
Large bathroom
Entrance: In the old bathrooms, there should be some space to enter the dressing room, which in total was the entrance of the bath.
Sarbineh: The first important space in the bathrooms is the Sarbineh, which is a dressing room and a place to prepare for bathing or exit bathroom. The weather was kept moderate so that the customers did not hit the hot air once, and when they left the bathroom, they did not go to cold weather and had no problems with their health. There are most decorations in this section.
Garmkhaneh: The Garmkhaneh was used to wash and bath. The decorations used in this part of the Garmkhaneh are less than Sarbineh.
Tone or Galkhan: In this area, the water and heat of the bath provided.
Small bathroom
The small bathroom is a simple entrance bath that passes through the corridor to the Sarbineh.
The roof of this bathroom is a masterpiece and is one of the most beautiful dome roofs in Iran. A number of domes are placed on this roof, each of which has convex lens glasses, to give enough light to the various parts of the bathroom and prevent it from seeing inside it. Many photographers come to the bathroom to take pictures of the roof.
The best season to go to Kashan is spring, but you can go to Kashan in all seasons and visit its tourist attractions. The working hours of this bath are from 8:00 am to 8:30 pm, except for the official Iranian holidays.
