Abmalakh is a fabulous waterfall and a natural pesticide which is used to irrigate the farms.
Abmalakh is an eye-catching waterfall of Isfahan Province that is located adjacent to a village with the same name and 60 kilometers from Semirom city. Due to the existence of some specific compounds in its water, Abmalakh will be as a pesticide facing the attack of grasshoppers. So, the water of this waterfall is used to irrigate the farms as a natural pesticide. It is better to know that Bakhtiari people live in this region.
Abmalakh consists of two parts Ab means water, and the equivalent of Malakh in English is a grasshopper. Also, Abmalakh is known as Takht-e Soleymān Waterfall, because of locating a large natural stone on the Marbar River that joins two valleys like a bridge. Local people believe that this bridge was a place for resting of Solomon. Due to the particular geography of this area, the sunlight period takes about three hours. This area is named Nimruz (half a day) because you can see the sunrise and sunset for three hours.
