Tahdig is one of the main pieces of Iranian food that I don't think there is anywhere else in the world.
It is said that people could not wash dishes and pot well in ancient times so, they used to put a loaf of bread on the bottom of the pot, which did not stick food on it. It is interesting to know that Tahdig means bottom of the pot.
It is also said that the Tahdig was the food of servants and crew in the old days. But because of the taste of Tahdig, it was gradually added to Iranian tableware.
It can be said that the Tahdig is served as a part of food. This part is very crunchy and greasy so be careful about your diet!
