Espaho Waterfall

The Espaho Waterfall is located in the Hezarjarib District, 30 kilometers from Behshahr. This beautiful and spectacular waterfall has a height of more than 30 meters.

This waterfall giggles excitedly and bounces off the rocks quickly and stands as grand as a village in Masuleh. It roars and rumbles on its journey across its rough rocky path and the musty odors emanating from surrounding trees and rocks. Standing or swimming under this falling water has a great pleasure.

Where is the Espaho Waterfall?

The Espaho Waterfall is located in the Hezarjarib District, 30 kilometers from Behshahr. This beautiful and spectacular waterfall has a height of more than 30 meters. The Espaho Waterfall stems from a fountain at the heart of the mount Siah Khani and eventually floats to the Nekarod River. It is interesting to know that, the Espaho Waterfall in the local dialect means white water. This Bowl-shaped and stepped-shaped waterfall has several lime ponds in seven stories.

You must pass through Behshahr to get to the Espaho Waterfall. There is an enchanting place, which is very unlikely if you lose it. Among the forests of Abbas Abad, there is a lake that has been left among the remains of Safavid mansion.

• What is the best time to go?

Due to the geography of the area that is covered with trees, the best time to travel to Espaho waterfall is spring and summer. In these seasons you can enjoy the lush green plains and the very pleasant weather of the forest. Like any other forest, the nature surrounding the waterfall in the autumn and winter is also beautiful, but cold weather can cause a lot of trouble.

• Getting there?

To reach the Espaho waterfall, a few kilometers to the city of Behshahr, you will see a signpost that is pointing the way to the Pasand Village. After 30 minutes driving on the road of Pasand village, you will reach the Nekarod River. From this point onwards, you must go on foot in the opposite direction of the river (to the east) up to the waterfall. Scrolling this distance takes about two hours that will be fun and enjoyable.

Note: In order to get this waterfall, you must pass some sections of this route from the river, so it is obligatory to have a pair of sandals.
