Ramsar Airport is an old international airport which is situated in the bride of Iran cities.
Ramsar Airport is an international airport that is located in Ramsar, Mazandaran province, Iran. This airport was built in Pahlavi era. In the beginning, Ramsar Airport used as a ceremonial airport, hosting only the airplane of the royal family. After the Iranian Revolution (1979), Ramsar Airport used as a public airport. One of the honors of this airport is operating 179 recreational flights and 16 Passenger flights in one day. In 2016, Ramsar Airport operated 890 flights and 332.799 passengers were transferred by this airport. Ramsar Airport is currently used for private flights and sports such as Hang gliding along the Caspian coast.
Ramsar Airport has only one terminal for both domestic and international flights. This airport has two bands, one of them is very old, but the other one was built in 2011 and it is the first Concrete band in Iran.
Ramsar Airport operates two or three flights a day between Ramsarand and Tehran. Moreover, it operates flights between Ramsar and Mashhad on Monday and Friday.
