The Sare Aqa Seyyed village is located on Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province and in the central of Kuhrang. Sar Aqa Seyyed village lies at an altitude of 2500 meters. This village remains unknown because it is mountainous and snowy. The village's connection is cut off about half a year due to snowfall in the autumn and winter seasons. You go there just spring and summer seasons.  This village dates back from the construction date of the Imam Zadeh's village.

According to the people, this Imamzadeh is 600 years old. This village headquarters has a traditional and Special architecture. The architecture of this village is somehow that the yard of each house is the roof of another house. This type of architecture is called a Pelekani (staircase).

The materials used in the construction of the village houses are mud and brick that are made with very simple architecture. Wood is used to build doors' houses and ceilings. Another feature of these houses is the lack of a window. Any of the village houses, in a completely unusual way, have not a window. All materials made in the construction of houses provide this village.

The architecture of the Sar Aqa Seyyed village is very similar to the village of Masuleh in Gilan. Therefore, the Sar Aqa Seyyed village is also called the Masuleh-e Zagros.

The best place to find peace and visit the beautiful scenery is the village of Sar Aqa Seyyed. Because except for having a beautiful nature, there are no urban crowds and even the mobile does not have an antenna. Life in this village is quite natural. The village only has electricity, which is also cut off power when the first snow falls. Villagers use fire for cooking and other needs.

In this village, women and men are working hard together for the day. The women of this village carry Heavy woods for their ovens. The people of the village are agricultural and rancher. Some people are also engaged in the extraction of salt and the cultivation of some cereals. There are salt springs near the village and some people of village extract salt. The women of this village make carpets, jajim, black tent and Kilim.

The species of trees in this area are mostly walnut and oak. In this area, there are also small shrubs like Milkvetch, Millet, and Sumac. You will also find plants such as garlic, Allium stipitatum, Wild leek, Celeriac, and Mushrooms in this village.

The villagers are from the tribes of Lurs. The people of this area have Bakhtiari customs, and they have kept their traditions alive. The village's coverage is intact, and the women and girls of this village have maintained their originality. The people of the village are very interested in the musical instruments and songs of the original Bakhtiari.

 

The best time to travel to this village is the three months of the spring, and absolutely the best time to travel in May. This village does not have urban amenities and if you want to spend the night there, residing in local homes or go to nearby hotels.

 

It's just an hour from the Chelgerd town to the village of Sar Aqa Seyyed, but you must know that the way to this village is meandrous. You must move towards the Sheikh Ali Khan waterfall and then go to the ice cave. The end of the road is a soil road.
