Eram garden is one of the most beautiful gardens in Fars province and even the whole country that attracts many domestic and foreign tourists. This garden becomes a botanical garden due to it has very diverse vegetation.
In the corner of the northwest corner of Shiraz, it displays a beautiful garden that has been in existence for many years. Garden Eram presents you with a unique compilation of history and nature. Walking in this garden, you will see special effects every moment that attract you.
Despite numerous studies and searches, there is still no information from the date of construction and the founder of the Garden of Eram in Shiraz. But the name of this garden in the travelogue of the tenth and eleventh centuries AH indicates its existence at these times. There are other signs of the garden in the Seljuq period, throughout the entire period of the Injuids and Muzaffarids, and the Mughal period. As the tourists have written, this garden has been magnificent during the Safavid period and was restored during the Zand era. From the end of the Zand period, for more than seventy-five years, Eram Garden was in the ownership of Qashqai tribe leaders.
The Eram garden is a rectangle and very wide. In each period, despite changes in the garden, its area has also increased and decreased, but today its size is about 110380 square meters. In the middle of the garden, there is a main street or passage that stretches from the west to the east. On the two sides of the passage, there are short Boxes, and halfway, there is a stream flowing from the front of the large pool. After reaching the middle of the garden, it is divided into several streams. Around the stream, beautiful flowers grow, and the two sides of the passage are surrounded by cypresses and other stout trees. Because of the painting, tile and stucco, the mansion in the middle of the garden is a masterpiece of Qajar architecture. This mansion has three floors and has various decorations. Its pillars are similar to the pillars of Persepolis.
In the face of the building, there are two semicircles. Also, there is a large panel in the middle of the building consisting of three crests. This panel illustrates the images of Ferdowsi's Shahnameh and the Qajar kings. The Garden Mansion is one of the works of the period of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar. The tiling of the central porch and the surrounding area is one of the most engaging tile works of the Qajar period. One of the most engaging parts of this valuable building is the basement located on the ground floor of this building.
The best time to travel to this city is in May, especially from May 5th to the end of the month. In May, most parts of Iran reach their peak beauty. This beautiful garden opens from 8 am to 9 pm throughout the week.
The nearest metro station to the Eram Garden is the Namazi Station. After getting off the train, you can reach the Eram Garden in a ten-minute walk from Daneshju Square and Eram Square. If you want to use the bus, the nearest bus stop is the Meydan Eram Station, which is located next to the Eram Garden.
