Khafr Village

Khafr Tourist Village is one of the Yaylak villages in the southernmost part of Isfahan Province and Semirom county. This village is located on the northern slopes of Dena Mountains. Also, it is situated on the border between Isfahan Province and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province.

This village is located in the beautiful nature of Dena's slope and, also the Khafr weather is mountainous. For this reason, there are various plant and animal species. There are 14 peaks over 4,000 meters, as well as beautiful natural glaciers, numerous waterfalls and rivers rise the glaciers.

Khafr area is an attractive place for mountaineering and ecotourism teams due to it is located on the Dena slope. Khafr village originates from 14 peaks of Dena mountain and therefore attracts many domestic and foreign mountaineer annually.

Famous places of Khafr include the Khafr Falls, Dena Asa Strait, Yakhi Cave, Kay Khosrow Cave, Seyyed Mohammad spring, and the watery rivers that flow across the village.

Most people in the village are engaged in beekeeping and gardening in the spring and summer season; apple gardens in this village are considered to be a tourist attraction.

Fruit gardens include yellow plums, black plums, apricot, apple, and walnut, which are outside the residential place of the village and along the streams running from the Dena peaks. The people of Khafr village are Fars. Local people say that the people of this village have migrated from Fars province to Khafr in the past. Most of the residential buildings in the village have a porch and still are a traditional architecture built with materials such as adobe, stone, and wood.

Unlike spring and summer, Khafr has extremely cold and snowy winters, so that the village of Khafr is called white hell.

In Isfahan, there are two areas called Khafr. One of the Khafrs is located in northern Isfahan and near Kashan. Another Khafr is located south of Isfahan and near Yasuj. The Khafr located near Yasuj is the place where the article was written. From Semirom to Khafr village is about one and a half hours by car.

There is no hotel or guest house for visitors in the village, and tourists can use, the local houses that are ready to stay.
