Tabriz International Airport is located northwest of Tabriz, East Azerbaijan Province. This international airport has an area of 420 hectares. Due to locating in the airspace of Iran to Europe and the Middle East, this operating airport is one of the most important airports of Iran. Tabriz Airport is equipped to the ILS, DME, DVOR, and NDB system. ILS device is used for low visibility, storm, and inclement weather. This airport was operated 14,236 flights, 4,780,800 passengers and 1,768,398 kilograms cargo in 2016. Currently, 200 domestic and 20 international flights operate at this airport during a week.
