Abbas Gholi Khan Historical House is one of the oldest and beautiful Iranian houses that is located in Abadeh city.

Abbas Gholi Khan Historical House is one of the ancient buildings of Shiraz that dates back to the Qajar period. This historical house is located in one of the beautiful cities of Shiraz called Abadeh. It is interesting to know that Abadeh has been registered as a world-wood-carving city in the Cultural Heritage Organization of Iran. There are many monuments and building s in Abadeh city, one of which is Abbas Gholi Khan.

The architecture of Abbas Gholi Khan Historical House is a perfect example of a central courtyard house with unique stucco and wooden decorations. Parts of this building were added during the Pahlavi period. More part of the south side of the building, including the well, the water tank, the entrance, and the kitchen, has completely disappeared as the street widens in the seventies. It is interesting to know that the supply of potable water came from this well.

Abbas Gholi Khan Historical House is a two storey building with several rooms. After renovating the building, the downstairs is used as restaurants and upstairs as coffee shops. One of the upper rooms is also used as a photography studio.

    • Timche Sarafian Abadeh: Timche Sarafian Abadeh related to the Qajar period and is located in the Kohneh Abad bazaar in the old part of Abadeh.
    • Kolah Farangi building: Kolah Farangi building dates back to the Qajar period. This palace has an almost circular map and built in the middle of a small garden. It is made of adobe and mud.
      Other attractions in Abad include: Izadkhast Caravanserai, Izad-Khast Castle, and Palace of Bahram Surmagh.

    The distance between Abadeh and Shiraz is about 3 hours (273 Km).You should go to the Marvdasht-Saadat Shahr highway and after about 50km, go to Saadat Shahr-Safa Shahr highway. Finally, go to Abadeh-Safa Shahr highway to reach the beautiful city of Abadeh.
