Dehloran is the second population city in the Ilam province. This city has the most common border with Iraq in the province and the country.
Dehloran is located about 230 kilometers southwest of Ilam. The majority of Dehloran residents speak Kurdish and Luri, and a small minority in Dehloran speaks Arabic. The reason for the naming of this city is that the Lure people built a village there (In Farsi means Deh) and named Dee Lur or Dehloran.

This spring is located three kilometers from Dehloran, on the slopes of Siah Kuh, and near the bat cave (Khofash cave). The water of these fountains changing to seven colors throughout the day due to the reflection of the sun. The temperature of this water is about 50 ° C. Because of the high sulfur content in the area, people with heart disease should not use spring. These springs are said to cure some illnesses such as rheumatism, allergy, abscess, wounds, as well as bone fractures, and contusion.
This cave is located near Dehloran Spa Springs. Various species of bats, such as the bat with the tail and the common bent-wing bat, live inside the cave. The cave has provided a good environment for researchers to research this type of mammal. This cave is called the bat cave because many bats live in it. The corridors of this cave are so large, some of which are about 400 meters deep. This cave was one of the historic caves of the Neolithic that later became a place for bats to live. If you like going to this cave, be sure to get help from a local or a farmer who lives there. Because without their help, you can't find this cave.
When you hear the name of the springs, we remember the clear blue water, but this fountain is full of warm bitumen. Dehloran Bitumen Spring is a spring that has been bringing black bitumen to the surface for thousands of years. This spring is located seven km from Dehloran city. In the old days, many animals and birds died in the spring, so the people of Dehloran fenced this fountain to save the animals. Dehloran bitumen spring is one of the rare natural phenomena in Iran. The water of this spring that comes out with bitumen is a high temperature, and therefore bitumen is flowing. This pond has nine m in diameter and is 50 cm deep. This spring is the only bitumen spring in Iran.
