Darbandsar Ski Resort

The Darbandsar Ski Resort is one of the ski resorts of Tehran province where it’s in the vicinity of the Dizin and Shemshak ski resorts.

In fact, the Darbandsar Ski Resort, which was launched in an area of 300 hectares by the privately held company, is the newest ski resort in Tehran province. The Darbandsar Ski Resort was established with the cooperation of ski enthusiast society in 1982 and it is situated at Darbandsar village, along the sides of Mount Seechal in the center of the Alborz Mountains, 60 kilometers to the northeast of Tehran on the Shemshak-Dizin Road. The Darbandsar Ski Resort is the second choice in the Roodbare Ghasran area, with the lowest point of 2638m and the highest point of 3570m from the sea level and an average annual snowfall of 2 to 4 meters.

The ski resort’s facilities include:

• 3 ski lifts
• 2 chair lifts
• 2 restaurants
• 1 parking lot
• 1 ski school
• 1 clinic

•  Entrance Fee:

The entrance fee of the Darbandsar Ski Resort is variable. The ticket price is 660,000 IRR (3PM-9PM), 950,000 IRR (8AM-2:30PM) and 1,090,000 IRR (8AM-9PM).

•   Is there any rental shop to rent the ski gear?

If you don’t have any ski gears, there is a rental shop for renting ski and snowboard equipment. The rent of ski gear is variable, for example, you need to pay about 850,000 IRR for a full set of Snowboard & Alpine and between 400,000 IRR to 800,000 IRR for renting each item include hats, ski gloves, snow pant…   

•  Ski instructor:

The best ski instructors are available in the ski school to teach you how to ski. It costs you about 500,000 IRR per hour for customary coaches and 2,000,000 IRR per hour for the professional coaches.

•  Accommodations

Unfortunately, there isn’t any hotel in the Darbandsar Ski Resort. So, in order to accommodate in this recreational center, the Shemshak Tourist Hotel is the best choice for lasting out in this region. The distance between the hotel and ski resort is about 3.7 kilometers and it takes about 10 minutes by car.

•   What is the best time to go?

The ski season at the Darbandsar Ski Resort, runs from early December until late April. The ski resort opens to the public all the days of the week in the ski time.

•   Getting there?

The only accessible route to get the Darbandsar Ski Resort is Lavasan-Fasham Road. The distance between Tehran and the ski resort is about 60 kilometers and takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
