Churat Lake is one of the most fascinating and exceptional natural lakes in Iran. Lake in the heart of the forest of Mazandaran. Churat Lake is one of the few natural lakes in Iran caused by an earthquake. In 1318, due to a landslide, there was an earthquake that caused a natural dam in the direction of the fountain to the formation of the Churat Lake. The lake is also called the Miansheh, but due to its proximity to the village of Churat, this name called.
The depth of the lake varies in different seasons and depends on the season's rainfall. In summers and in general, when the amount of water in the lake decreases, tree trunks emerge and create a marvelous view. These trees are the same plants that were in this area before the creation of the lake and have been underwater.
If you have an interest in fishing, this lake is one of the best options for you. These fish spilled by the people of that area on the lake. Some people also believe that the birds move spawn and bring them to the lake.
You can sail on this beautiful lake and enjoy the scenery. But remember that the boat will not be rented in this place and if you need to go sailing, you should use your boat. Along the lake of Churat, you have the opportunity to set up a tent and bring the night to the morning, but remember that there are no welfare facilities at this place, so take all the necessary equipment with you.
Swimming in this lake is very unsafe due to the presence of tree trunks. So, it's better to float on the water with a boat rather than swim.
When you enter this area, the smell of the Pennyrile and Thymus herbs affects you. Trees like Medlar, Crataegus, and Walnut are seeing abundant along this lake.
All seasons of the year are suitable for going to this lake, but due to the high temperature and unfortunate way, the winter of this lake is not good for every passenger. You can see the unexplored landscapes of the lake in the spring and autumn.
You must go to Sari, which takes about 6 hours from Tehran to Sari (from the Firoozkuh Road).
After reaching Sari, take the southeastern route of Sari and bring yourself to Keshavarz Boulevard. Keep up the Keshavarz Boulevard that goes out of Sari. After leaving Sari and at a distance of about 42 km, you will see an entrance of Churat.
After a short distance, it reached a dirt road that would arrive at the lake, some people walked and some people by car. You can walk for 2 hours on the road and get 50 minutes by car. It is better to use Off-roading cars because of the slope of the route.
