One of the unique beauties of Iran is the flowering of beautiful and fragrant flowers in the desert region of Kashan.

In ancient times, it was traditions made for Rose water. After picking up Mohammadi's flowers, the residents of Kashan took the flowers to the workshop with their donkeys and Dhol. Of course, these traditions are currently only being held in some parts of Kashan.

  • The stages of Rose water in Kashan

Early in the morning, the residents of Kashan go to the Mohammadi flower gardens, and before the dawn and the warmth of the air, they pick up the flowers. Then throw flowers in unique pots and then triple the flowers, pour water and lock the door of the pot to prevent the heat from escaping. After boiling the water, the steam pours through the two pipes connected to the pot into a copper pitcher that located inside the cold-water pool. It takes about 4 hours to get the perfect Rose water.

Every year in Kashan, the Festival of Rose water starts in May. Usually, this festival starts in mid-May until mid-June.  

 

  • Getting there?

The Rose water made in the regions of Qamsar (30 km south of Kashan), Neyasar (30 km west of Kashan), Vadeqan, and Van of Kashan, which is the best-quality Rose water for Vadeqan and Van villages in Kashan.
You must use Tehran-Isfahan road to go to Kashan. You will be 2 to 3 hours to reach Kashan.
