
Borujerdi House is a historical monument in Kashan which you can feel comfort temperature during the Summer.
The Borujerdi House is built on three stories, which have different parts. The building, built around a courtyard with an area of 620 square meters. The smart design of this house helps to tolerate the hot weather of Kashan. Due to the wind-catcher on the roof, the heat changes into pleasant weather. This house contains two main parts, the outdoor and Andaruni (indoor part).
This kind of architectural style is used in the hot and dry zone related to the people's lifestyle, and due to this style, the outdoor design of the house doesn’t draw attention and show the modesty of its owner.
Outdoor, including different parts as follows: Vestibule, corridor, courtyard, Summer section, basement, octagonal Wind-catcher on the north and south side, and kitchen and stores on the north side. There are some meniscus Lightwell and mirror wind-catchers on the ceiling of the main hall.
To enter the house, you should pass along the inclined corridor, which prevents direct access to the house. This corridor is connected to the Mahtabi (it is similar to a porch without a roof) on the northwestern side. Also, there is a five-door hall with some three-door rooms around on this side of the house. The façade and interior part of these rooms are designed with Stucco, which looks so beautiful. Due to the proper natural lighting, this part of the house is used for winter and is known as the Winter section.
The summer section is the principal part of the Borujerdi House, which is situated to the solar radiation. You face an arch on the façade with some stucco ornamentation. It seems this kind of decoration, like samovars and teapots influenced by Russian decorations. In the center of this part, there is a specific dome with some Lightwell and Muqarnas.
The Borujerdi House is valuable in terms of local features and architectural elements, and interior ornamentation. You face Tiles, Brickwork, and Stucco in the outdoors. Also, there is a fabulous Aina-Kari in the indoor part of this house.
Late April until Late May is the best time to visit this historical house and enjoy the beauties of Kashan.

Visiting the Tabatabaei house for foreign visitors costs 150,000 IRR.
You can visit the Tabatabaei house from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
Tabatabaei house is situated on Alavi Street, Kashan, Isfahan Province. You can reach there via private car and public transportation, such as a taxi.
