Kuh Gol Lake is a part of the eye-catching nature in Sisakht, Kohgiluyeh Boyer-Ahmad Province. You will see several lakes in this region which are seasonal and fill from mount Dena. Kuh Gol Lake contains a Plain of Fritillaries, Tange Namak Waterfall, Cheshmeh Sardu, and Dena protected area.
Kuh Gol Lake is located in the northeast of Sisakht, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province. This lake has an area about a haft hectare and a depth of 15 meters which created a fascinating ecosystem around it. Smelling the fragrance of Poppy and other mountainous plants around the Kuh Gol Lake amazes many visitors to see the beauty of this region. You can find some delicious vegetables such as Rhubarb, Oregano, and Mentha asiatica in this region. The reflection of the plant and flowers in the water create a fantastic scene. Moreover, you will see different migrating birds such as Duck, Mallard, Stork, Heron, Crane, Northern lapwing, and Coot during Spring and Summer.
This waterfall is located 5.8 km east of the central part of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province and at the end part of the Kuh Gol region. To get there, you have to cross the dirt road. It takes 17 minutes via car from Sisakth to Tang-e Namak.
You can visit the Kuh Gol Lake and enjoy the beauty of nature during Summer and Spring, but late April until late May is the best time to go there.
If you want to see this eye-catching lake, it takes 18 minutes via private car from Sisakht. You can reach there by walking for 150 minutes.
You will reach the Kuh Gol Lake eight kilometers after Sisakht City. To see Kuh Gol Lake you should go up the hill. This walking takes 30 minutes, so it is better to get on proper shoes.
