Mount Damavand, a potentially active volcano, is a stratovolcano that is the highest peak in Iran and the Middle East as well as the second-highest volcano in Asia. It has a special place in Persian mythology and folklore. We hike in the Polour region in the North of Tehran. This is no picnic outing, but great for anyone in good shape and hungry for a thrilling, high-altitude adventure. The views on the way up are spectacular, but nothing compares to what you’ll see (and feel) at the top.

​Day 1: Tehran

Day 2: Tehran / Gosfand Sara (Base Camp2) 
Drive to Polour (Base Camp1) and trek to Gosfand Sara (Base Camp2)
 
Day 3: Gosfand Sara / Base Camp3 
The Climb Starts in the Morning and Takes Us Up to the Shelter (Base Camp3).
 
Day 4: Base Camp3 / Base Camp2 
Climbing and Explore the large dormant volcano Peak and Discover the Beauty of Nature. Return in the Afternoon Back to Camp 2.
 
Day 5: Base Camp2 / Tehran 
Descend the mountain, passing through villages and plantations on the slopes en route to Tehran.
 
Day 6: Tehran 
Depart at any time.
