Visadar Waterfall

Rezvanshahr is a city located in the northwest of Gilan province, between the Caspian Sea and the Talesh Mountains. Visadar waterfall is located in Rezvanshahr. Due to its height, this waterfall is the third highest waterfall in Gilan. The unique shape of the rock wall of this waterfall is its unique feature.

To reach this magnificent waterfall, you must walk for 20 minutes into the willow forest. Walking in this forest gives a new spirit to man. The cold water sprinkled alongside this beautiful waterfall and the pristine nature surrounds it, make you a person full of positive energy.

In Talysh language, there is a word called Visadar, which means the shade of a willow tree. Due to this waterfall located in the heart of the willow forest, it is called as Visadar waterfall.

  • Asiabgah waterfall: Near the Visadar waterfall area in Gilan, there is another waterfall called Asiabaga that is located on the Shafaru River.
  • Gisum forest park: This area is one of the best places to spend a few hours in nature and enjoy the fresh air and receive positive energy from nature. Gisum Forest is a village in Gilan province, which is one of the functions of the Asalem district in Talesh city.
  • Heyran: This area has one of the most beautiful sceneries in Gilan. Every year, many tourists travel to Heyran. This area is so beautiful that it looks like a piece of paradise has fallen to the ground.

• What is the best time to go?
  If you want to experience the fresh air and paradise next to the Visadar Falls you should go to this waterfall in late April or May. Of course, in all seasons this forest and waterfall have their beauty. Remember that during the rainy seasons, the forests are very slippery, so take the necessary equipment with you.

Getting there?
To get to Visadar Waterfall, you first must go to Rasht. If you are in Tehran, you can also use the buses or taxis of Rasht at the West Terminal in Azadi square. From Tehran to Rasht, you will be on the way for about 6 hours. Then continue on your way to Astara. After passed 77 km, you reach Paresar city. You can easily reach Visadar Falls from this city.
