Shirbad Ski Resort

The Shirbad Ski Resort is situated in the Razavi Khorasan Province and it’s the first and only ski resort in the east of the country.

The Shirbad Ski Resort is a family-friendly complex and offer skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, rental shop, on-site restaurant and ski school. This complex is ideal for those who fancy doing winter sport, mountaineering and wander around the spectacular area. The Shirbad Ski Resort stands on the hillside of Mount Binalud which is called as the roof of the Razavi Khorasan Province and situated 65 kilometers in the west of Mashhad. This complex has started to operation since 2009 in an area of 50 hectares with a total length of 1200 meters. The highest point is situated at an altitude of 2900m, while the lowest point is situated at an altitude of 2700m from the sea level. The track is considerably benefited from perfect powdery snow coverage due to the high altitude of the area.

The Shirbad Ski Resort offers a range of facilities as follows:

• 1 ski school
• 1 parking lot
• 1 on-site restaurant
• 1 rental shop
• 1 clinic
• also the ski slope have been equipped with 1 ski beater, 1 T-bar lift with the length of 900m in order to transport skiers and snowboarders.

•  Entrance Fee:

The entrance fee of the Shirbad Ski Resort is 600,000 IRR including ski lift charges. This complex is ready to give services on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The duration of using the ski resort for one day is from morning to afternoon (from 9AM to 4PM).

•  Is there any rental shop to rent the ski gear?

The ski gear rental shop is available at the ski resort. So all the ski equipment can be hired in the resort. The ski gear rental is variable, but the average amount is around 550,000 IRR.

•  Ski instructor:

The ski instructors are available at the ski school to teach you how to ski. The rate of the ski instructor is variable and it costs you about 350,000 IRR or 400,000 IRR per hour depends on instructor degree.

•  Accommodations: 

A dormitory is located in proximity of the trail for the convenience of skiers and travelers. Otherwise, you can get one of the hotels in Mashhad or Neyshabur.

•  What is the best time to go?

The ski season at the Shirbad Ski Resort, runs from mid December until late May. The ski resort opens to the public just on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

•  Getting there?

The Shirbad Ski Resort is located about 65 kilometers in the west of Mashhad. The Mashhad-Chenaran road is the main access road to the ski resort that pass through the Shandiz into the Dolatabad Valley. It usually takes about one hour.
