White tough peak in height which is famous for the name of a bird that doesn’t fly above it.
The Karkas Mount (3895 m), is a part of the northern half of Iran's central mountain range and the highest peak of the Karkas Mountain range which is extended from northwest to the southeast. Including Isfahan province and some cities, such as Kashan, Natanz and Ardestan. Due to the high peaks of the Karkas Mountain range, which is snow-covered almost half a year, It has created the source of several springs. You can see some specific plant such as Milkvetch and Mugworts.
The wildlife of this area contains Reptiles, Goat, deer, boar (wild pig), wolf, jackal, fox, hyena, wild cat, and leopard. Some part of this region protected from hunting.
Some little black bird has been seen in this area that called “Karkas “, the equivalent of Karkas in English is Vulture.

There is a new shelter in the Karkas region that has two rooms and one hall with WC. Also, the Metal shelter after new shelter is still available.
The Karkas Mount is surrounded by historical cities. Visiting Abyaneh, a beautiful, memorable village that is located in Isfahan province, is such a fantastic experience.
Tameh is a village in the south of Natanz, Isfahan Province. It is a difficult base for climbing to the Karkas Mount. There are two eye-catching valleys in the west side of the village with marvelous waterfalls.
All seasons is proper for Climbing the Karkas Mount, but it is freezing during winter. So the best time to reach there is March and April.
