
Kaboud-Val is the only mossy waterfall in Iran which situated in a valley covered with a mass of plants like a jungle.
Kaboud-Val Waterfall is located five kilometers southeast of Aliabad-e-Katul the environs of Golestan province. To reach the waterfall, you should walk through the jungle and enjoy the eye-catching nature. At the beginning of the journey, you will pass a bridge to enter the jungle. Moreover, at the end of a green route, you will see the Kaboud-Val Waterfall. Wooden bridges, green stairs, and the melody of water amaze you. Continue the route and see a waterfall through the mass of plants. The water of Kaboud-Val Waterfall is supplied from Mount Harun (1780 meters). The water of Mount Harun falls down over the green valley and creates a marvelous view.
It is a half-hour walk to reach the Kaboud-Val Waterfall, so wear a good pair of walking shoes. Put an extra cloth in your backpack.
Late March to late September is the best time to visit Kaboud-Val Waterfall. During this period, you can enjoy the green nature.
