Kaboud-Val is the only mossy waterfall in Iran which situated in a valley covered with a mass of plants like a jungle.
Kaboud-Val Waterfall is located five kilometers southeast of Aliabad-e-Katul the environs of Golestan province. To reach the waterfall, you should walk through the jungle and enjoy the eye-catching nature. At the beginning part of the journey, you will pass a bridge to enter the jungle. Moreover, at the end of a green route you will see the Kaboud-Val Waterfall. Wooden bridges, green stairs, and melody of water amaze you continue the route and see a waterfall through the mass of plants. The water of Kaboud-Val Waterfall is supplied from mount Harun (1780 meters). The water of mount Harun falls down over the green valley and create a marvelous view.
It is a half hour walk to reach the Kaboud-Val Waterfall, so wear a good pair of walking shoes. Put an extra cloth in your backpack.
Late March till late September is the best time to visit Kaboud-Val Waterfall. During this period you can enjoy the green nature.
Kaboud-Val Waterfall is located five kilometers south-east of Aliabad-e-Katul the environs of Golestan province. You can reach there via private car or a taxi. It is a half hour walk to reach Kaboud-Val Waterfall.
